Bazaar weekend organized by PIGI

A few months after the catastrophic earthquake in Turkey and Syria, PIGI organized a charity event for the financial support of the affected communities in an effort to highlight the importance of solidarity and unity. The charity event was a weekend bazaar held on 27-28 May 2023.

In collaboration with the Municipality of Faliro, PIGI’s volunteers set their bazaar kiosks at the beautiful location of Flisvos Park in Paleo Faliro. The park is highly family-friendly with playground facilities, very close to the beach, and overall, a nice escape from the city centre.

PIGI’s community, friends and visitors of the park were very excited to participate in this shopping experience while supporting a great cause. From 10am till late in the evening, people were coming to shop handmade creations and traditional food while they could attend organized workshops to learn the art of weaving and other artistic activities designed for adults and children. The kids of PIGI who accompanied their parents at the bazaar, were thrilled to spend the day in the park riding bicycles, playing, and doing fun activities.

The Bazaar ended on Sunday evening, and it was overall, a great experience for both the organizers and the visitors.
