The 2024 Dialogue and Inclusion Awards Ceremony was a successful celebration of intercultural understanding and cooperation!

This week, our team showed solidarity by distributing 40 food packages to families in precarious situations but especially to refugees and immigrants in Athens.
The beneficiaries of these parcels were mainly Greek or from Pakistan, Afghanistan, Senegal and Turkey. These distributions were possible thanks to collaboration with our partners of Time to Help France. A big thank you to everyone involved in this action.

The first of the information sessions planned with UNHCR was held, hosted by PIGI. PIGI volunteers listened to the presentation of UNHCR Greece Legal Officers and received information on many subjects such as asylum, refugee rights, family reunification, AMKA, education rights. In addition, UNHCR officials, who dealt with the questions and problems of the participants one by one, said that they would follow the issues. In the session, which continued in the form of questions and answers, the participants stated that they received useful information and that they requested a new session. UNHCR officials stated that they will contact PIGI for a new session as soon as possible.
Another academic year has been completed and PIGI celebrated the occasion with a Turkish and Greek program which was prepared by the organization‘s volunteers and students.
At the end of a successful and busy year, our Greek friends and the parents of our students came together to attend our special event, which took place at the Parnassos Literary Society. The audience enjoyed a variety of stage performances with music, theater and poetry which had been prepared by our students and volunteers from all age groups.
During the event, which had a duration of approximately two hours, Turkish and Greek poems were recited, songs were sung by the choir and solo performers, together with theatrical skits. The repertoire included also folklore dances such as Horon, kolbastı and zeybek and live music by our guest ,artist Kay and drummer MikhaeLunet which filled the crowd with enthusiasm .
The Greek version of the song A New World, emphasizing the ideals of peace and solidarity, was presented in the Education Platform video, which was also created with great devotion by our community’s volunteers and students. At the end of the evening, certificates were awarded to all of PIGI‘s volunteer teachers and the students.
