Tuesday 9 May was an exciting and creative day! PIGI was happy to welcome a group of Highschool students visiting from Amsterdam within the framework of a student exchange program. The kids were informed about PIGI‘s work and had discussions with us on the refugee issue while analyzing the subject „Why refugees who come to Greece aim to relocate to other European countries“.
The Ramadan Feast brought great joy to the Muslim refugee children in Athens who had the best of times while visiting an amusement park with the support of our partners all over the world. It was such a great experience watching the kids having fun with the various attractions of the park. What was truly rewarding though, was witnessing the genuine happiness and fascination on their faces.
On Wednesday, April 19 2023, PIGI organized a gathering for the Greek friends of the organization, as a gesture of solidarity and gratitude. The evening included welcome speeches from PIGI’s founding members and continued with a traditional Iftar dinner that marked the end of the Ramadan period. Adults and kids had the opportunity to get to know each other better, to chat, to exchange opinions and to enjoy the delicacies of the Turkish cuisine to the sounds of traditional live music. The event was graced by eminent businessmen, political figures and partners of PIGI, who showed their mutual appreciation for the organization and its work. We thank them all for attending!
Our Syrian, Egypt, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Sudan, Senegal, Georgian and Ukrainian brothers attended the fast-breaking dinner organized by Pigi Koinsep, hosted by the Greek Forum Migrants association. The participants said, “We missed this brotherhood painting very much”.
